 Unlike floating ball valves, the force generated by the fluid pressure on the ball is transmitted entirely to the bearings. This prevents the ball from being forced against the downstream seat, eliminating excessive seat load. Consequently, the valve offers low operating torque, minimal seat deformation, stable sealing performance, and an extended service life, making it particularly suitable for high-pressure and large-diameter applications. Key features include:

1.  Reduced Operating Torque: The ball is supported by upper and lower bearings, significantly reducing friction and eliminating the high torque typically generated by fluid pressure forcing the ball against the seats.

2.  Reliable Sealing: Springs behind the stainless steel seat carrier provide the initial preload for the PTFE seal ring. If the sealing surface wears over time, the springs automatically compensate, ensuring a continued tight seal.

3.  Fire-Safe Design: A fire-resistant metal sealing ring is incorporated between the ball and the seat. In the event of a fire that destroys the PTFE seal, the spring force pushes this metal ring against the ball, creating a metal-to-metal emergency seal. This design meets API 6FA and API 607 fire test requirements.

4.  Automatic Cavity Pressure Relief: If the medium trapped in the valve body cavity becomes abnormally pressurized, the pressure can overcome the spring preload, pushing the seat away from the ball to automatically relieve pressure and protect the valve. The seat automatically resets once the pressure normalizes.

5.  Drain and Monitoring Ports: Drain ports are provided on both the upper and lower parts of the valve body. These ports allow for checking seat leakage. With the valve in the fully open or fully closed position, the cavity pressure can be vented through these ports, enabling packing replacement or discharge of accumulated cavity media without removing the valve from the line.

6.  Emergency Sealant Injection System (Optional): The valve can be equipped with an auxiliary emergency sealing system. If the primary seal is damaged, sealant can be injected through this system to temporarily restore sealing. Additionally, for media containing particulates, cleaning or lubricating agents can be injected via this system to protect the sealing surfaces.
